Catnip Seeds

Hello everyone.
I have grown my first catnip plants from seed and they have just started flowering and producing their own seeds.
I collected a few and tried to germinate them, but none have sprouted. The seeds were dried out and mostly a rich dark color.

My question is, do i need to run these seeds through the stratification process in the fridge? If so, how long do they need to stay in the cold before they are ready for planting?

Thanks!

Mex... Catnip seeds are very tiny and very hard to work with. You would be better off taking divisions o fyour plant and have more success than tryign to start the seeds.

it takes the seeds a couple of weeks to germinate if you sow them outside in the fall. If ya doing it inside, I would give them at least a month's cold stratification before tryign to plant them.
