Wow, I'm newly in love with lilies and really appreciate all the wonderful pics you all are posting! I planted some Star Gazers last year, and Casa Blancas. I planted them mid border. I can't see the StarGazers now for some Daisies that have grown larger than I thought they would. I am planning to move the daisies. Neither the StarGazers, nor the Casa Blancas are very tall, about 2-21/2 feet. Should I move them more forward in my border, or will they get taller in years to come?
new to lilies: move or not move?
Lilies are usually short their first year and will be taller in subsequent years. Welcome to the love of lilies!
My Stargazer and Casa Blanca's are 2-3 yrs. old and are about 4 ft tall. That should be about as tall as they get.
If you decide to move them wait until fall when the stalks have turned brown.
Thanks everyone. I posted and then went on a trip. I'll leave them where they are for now. Appreciate the advice!
