CLOSED: What is this pretty spider?

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I have to say, I never thought I'd call a spider pretty, but this one definitely was! It was very small and liked to jump.

It amazes me how many people don't take the time to really look.I have seen some gorgeous spiders.I have to admit they are a little creepy but still beautiful.
Sorry I can't answer your question I just had to throw that out there.
BTW That is a very pretty spider!

This could be a young green lynx spider (Peucetia viridans; family Oxyopidae) - see http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1182/1254530015_4e80f28f0f.jpg?v=0

Or this Magnolia green jumper Lyssomanes viridis - fits with "...very small...liked to jump"

edit: I think the eyes are right for the Magnolia green jumper too, the big pair up front.

You're certainly right, claypa - the anterior median eyes on this specimen blended in with the background color of the cephalothorax, and I overlooked them. Also, although there was something about the legs that bothered me a little, I failed to take the time to doublecheck. Thanks for your correction!

Thank you, Mike and suunto! :-)

dvhsr62, I'm sure you're right about there being lots of beautiful spiders. I'll look more carefully after this. ^_^
