It has been in the ground for 2 year's and is about 4' tall. Probably would be bigger if it hadn't been in a pot for 2 years before! Anyway, it does need to be moved but not sure if it will work. Thanks for any help!
Transplanting an Empress tree
I'm afraid I can't help you; around here, Paulownia is a very invasive tree, and those of us whose neighbors planted one are not happy about the seedlings we have to eradicate every year. Maybe it's better behaved in your part of the world!
Thanks for your take on it. I don't remember what variety it is and I think one type is not invasive - anyone know??? Worth digging up and trying. I am in need of fast shade on the west side, if anyone has any ideas would love to hear from you.
There are several types that might not have been planted widely enough yet for us to know whether they're invasive or not, but personally if P. tomentosa is invasive in your area I wouldn't plant any of the others either.
