It sounds like more than a few of us will be there tommorow. Is there a time we could all meet? Like say noon or 1pm?
Heronswood open house.
I still love your arbor. More every time I see it.
I'm going tomorrow with my neighbors Tammi and Dan. They're trying to drum up some additional people. We're shooting to take the 8:40 ferry out of Edmonds. If all goes smoothly, we may have time to stop for coffee before Heronswood opens at 10:00. We're planning on touring for several hours and taking pictures and notes. We though we'd bring some stuff to picnic on so our time is our own.
After that, I've insisted that we all stop off at Dragonfly to see Heidi.
Gordon, what time are you catching the ferry?
Is anyone from down this way going up? I was hoping to go, but it turns out we're picking up our new sailboat tomorrow! Let's see...... go to Heronswood, or get the boat??? What to do???
I have to get the boat. My DH cannot handle it himself yet.
But if anyone from down south is going to Dragonfly farms, I left my umbrella there last time I was there and Heidi is holding it for me at the cash register. It's the one with the dragonfly on it! It was a special gift from my dh and I really want it back.
If no one from down here is going, I am going to be in Kirkland next Friday to see my mom. I could pick it up from someone up there. It would save me the trip to Heidi's just to pick up the umbrella. I'd love to get up to her place, but I know I'm not going to get to any time soon. Any volunteers?
I was planning on going but it looks like it's not going to happen. My nephew and his soon-to-be fiance' arrived yesterday, staying with my bro and sil in Poulsbo (how perfect would THAT have been?) and they want to take in the sand sculptures in Port Angeles tomorrow (http://www.arts-in-action.org/). So, after finishing training tomorrow over there, we are all heading back here. Kathy. . .I am SO bummed that I have to miss this, I was really looking forward to seeing you, but family first. Please post lots of pictures. And we will have to plan a time to get together AFTER Danskin (16-17 Aug). . .maybe the following weekend? Hope everyone has a great time!
Melissa - do you want me to pick up your umbrella? I'd be happy to do it (with the caveat that my memory isn't always as good as it used to be, so there's some chance I'll forget). I think, since I don't see any other posts, that I will go ahead. And then we can figure out how to get it to your mom's. Enjoy your sail tomorrow!!
Sheri - sorry we'll miss you, but with the brick and the visit, I'm sure it would be too hard. You're making the right choice. I'll try to get good pictures.
Gordon - if you're checking this, just want to let you know that I talked to my neighbor and we're leaving here at about 8:30. That will more likely put us on the 9:20 ferry.
Hope to see some familiar faces there!!
I promise you will see me. Going to try to take the earlier ferry, but we will see.
Is any one up now????????
Guess not, Kathy or Gordon Please let me know what time you will be at Heidis.....
I have 2 plants all the way from London for Pixie. from Laurie.
I will meet you.
Sending Dmail to you Gordon.

Got your dmail. Are you going to Heronwood or am I meeting you at Dragonfly?Leaving in an hour, are you up?
I am considering going. I am picking up my mom at the airport at 10:15 and then will decide if we go or not. I have my directions printed out and a reservation on the Pt townsend ferry to get home, just in case! I've never been.

Pixs
I was sure Laurie told you. She's got allot on her plate these days must have forgot. She sent me a package the first of the month. And ask me if I could give them to you next time we got together. I guess this is the best way. Gordon is going to stop out at my place and pick them up.
They are 'Heuchera brown finch' and made the trip rather well.
Madam Emil has a bloom, looks funny so small and a flower to boot.
^_^

Great pics Gordon, so sad I couldn't make it, story of my life, so glad you came out to pick up the plants for Pix. So enjoyed your visit and the ideas you gave me and thank you for the plant you gave me. My niece was so interested in what you where talking about (and cant remember either) She is new to this , and is learning. She just might take after me LOL.
I added a few things, after you left. And my DH went out a got the logs for the back area I showed you.
So had much fun.
Hi, I haven't really been around much for a while, but I sure wish I'd seen this yesterday-looks like I missed everyone at Heronswood this afternoon-and I could've even delivered an umbrella, except that I think Gordon got there earlier. I did run into Katie59 at Dragonfly later on and we had a nice chat.
I'd love to see more photos-I was looking at everything and didn't take a single one-I'd also like to see what I missed-everyone's eyes are different, and there's so MUCH to notice there.
Great photos, Gordon, and thanks for picking up the umbrella. If you'll tell me where you'll be in the middle of the day on Friday I'll swing by and pick it up with the 'brown finch' heuchera! Cool! I've wanted to try those. Laurie knows they are mentioned by one of my favorite British gardening mavens. It was so sweet of her to send them and of Tills to care for them for me, and of you, Gordon, to be the next boxcar on the DG express!
