Fertilizing seedling from seed

Arcata, CA(Zone 9b)

Last year, I ordered some seeds. Some of them grew and I have been watering, plus adding 1/2 liquid fertiler. But they don't seem to be growing. Maybe its the type of fertilizer I am using? (Schultz ) What do you do to develop growth? First year at growing from scales and seeds. Thanks

'Let's Grow Lilies' mentions using a diluted fertilizer like Fish or seaweed emulsion. It's very weak, but gives those seedlings a little lift.

But watch out, I have had raccoons think there was a fish in the pot and dump some of them out.

Well they look fine to me. When I transplant into gallon pots they get a good dose of slow release Osmocote (about a tablespoon) mixed in the soil. They really get neglected after that and it is all I can do to remember to water them, but they are very forgiving. A few times over the summer they get a weak liquid fertilizer, either 20-20-20 Peters diluted 3/4 teaspoon in 3 liters or they get my houseplant mix which is a solution of about a teaspoon of the Osmocote in 2 liters of water which I keep topped off after each use. I'm not at all scientific about it.

You will find when you are growing lilies from seeds that seedling vigor varies a lot, probably depending on genetics. Also on how crowded they are in the containers. Your seedlings look similar or even better than mine which I started in late December. Good job!
