Anyone have any experience in the field of botany? I'm seriously considering changing careers in the next few years. The only thing holding me back is that I've heard the pay is lousy.
Career in botany
I think that some of the larger arboretums and public gardens pay quite well. If you contact a place like Longwood Gardens in PA, which has it's own Curator/Botanist as well as a whole slew of specialist gardeners and arborists, plus an education and training program, you may be pleasantly surprised.
I would contact our own Drdon (Temecula, CA)...he would be a very good source of info. Jo
