This does not look to be the same as andersons red. Andersons red tends to have a more red colored stem. I have both growing and have never been able to get a proper ID on the plant you have shown in this last photo. I believe it is a hybrid with hastatum but I have no idea who did the cross or if it was ever given a name. In the early 60 and late 70s their were a few aroid breeding that breed a lot of very interesting philodendrons. It seems they would sell mixed pots of their unwanted crosses to collectors many of these unnamed odd ball hybrids are still floating around in collections today. I have one that I call Colosso Andersons red. It was found at a good friends old collection growing on a tree in the back end of the property. It is a hybrid similar to andersons red but with much longer leaves.

I now see yours have that red coming all the way up into the veins, certainly more so than shows up in my photo. I will be looking again at the plant in a couple weeks (in DC now), and see if it's gotten any redder --it had been more so earlier, I recall, then faded after drying out somewhat, but I think it's had good irrigation for the last couple months.

I perfectly satisfied --even proud-- to have the official BW designation of Odd Ball Hybrid in any case.

Thanks.
