I believe it is a hybrid with hastatum but I have no idea who did the cross or if it was ever given a name. In the early 60 and late 70s their were a few aroid breeding that breed a lot of very interesting philodendrons. It seems they would sell mixed pots of their unwanted crosses to collectors many of these unnamed odd ball hybrids are still floating around in collections today. I have one that I call Colosso Andersons red. It was found at a good friends old collection growing on a tree in the back end of the property. It is a hybrid similar to andersons red but with much longer leaves. |
