Getting back from the ORLS show

St. Thomas, ON

Hey everyone I have been busy the last week getting ready to go to the ORLS show, even though I didn't show any stems I was just getting ready for the trip. So I haven't posted any pictures of lilyies that have opened in the past couple of days. So I am going to post some as well as some pics from the show once I get them uploaded.
Here is Elegant Lady, however it looks very close to Queen's promise

Brasilla, I am very intrigued by this oriental as it opens white with a pink edge and as it matures it gradually goes more pink.
Here it is first open

Fantastic! How was the show?

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

Oooh, pretty lilies!!! :)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I have to agree with you about Brasilla, it's like having 2 lilies in one!

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

'Elegant Lady' sure does look like 'Queen's Promise'. I would say the the size of the flower alone makes me think it isn't 'Elegant Lady'. 'Elegant Lady' smells like Fruit Loops or something close ;), how does that one smell?

Beautiful lilies Peach. Can't wait to see more.

The show was great, and as I said I took some pictures of lilies there, however I took them on my brother's camera b/c i forgot mine and I am waiting on him sending me the pics. Anyways I have never been to a show and I was astounded, so many lilies! I also had the chance to clerk which was interesting as I was able to hear what the judges thought and it gave me ideas for picking what kind of stem to enter in a show. Oh yes I was also generously given some pollen from some seedlings which I really liked, and I daubed that pollen away on my lilies once i got home. All in all it was great show, and now i am excited for the societies bulb sale in the fall.

Also this is a side note to anyone who owns Miss Lucy, I was wondering if it has the stigma/stile as I bought buy Miss Lucy to try hybridizing with it(it did no flower). I know it is pollen sterile but I can't make out in any pictures if it has a stile, any information would be great.

Very nice Peach Guy! Great lilies!

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Yep, you've been bitten by the bug! lol

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

Oh my are those gorgeous or what?

Now you made me put some more on my list for this fall, but B & D is not showing "Long Island" in their fall book.

I think that the lily bug bit you real good.

Yes Long Island is a beauty, and you guys have had many that i have been drooling over.

Albany, ME(Zone 4b)

PeachGuy, I wish you would post your Conca d'or in Plant Files, so we could gather info on zones. Some sites I found with Google say it can only stay unmulched through zone 5. What is your zone?

TIA

My zone is hard to determine, for the Canadian zones I am in 6a however on the border of 5b(if i drove about 20-30 minutes north i would be in zone 5b. For the US zones i figure I would be in between 5a and 5b. Also this is the first year for me with conca d'or so it hasn't been through a winter here yet (I planted it in the spring). Therefore I would rather wait until spring to post it in the plantfiles.
