CLOSED: Ant-looking thing

Does anyone know what this is? I have a few more pics of it if you need, but all of them are of it's back side. He was hard to take pictures of he was running so fast.

Looks like what we call a "cow-ant" here.

It is definitely a cow ant, or cow killer ant. It's actually a velvet wasp.

In this wasp family (Mutillidae), the females are wingless but the males have wings and can fly - see http://www.torreypine.org/animals/Insects/VelvetAnts.jpg for an image. The larvae of most species are external parasites on other solitary wasps and bees.
