Any Ideas what this might be?

This is a Longhorn beetle, looks very much like Rutpela maculata. They only rest on the leaves, feeding on pollen.

This beetle indeed is a flower longhorn (subfamily Lepturinae), but the shape of its pronotum is more consistent with the genera Anoplodera or Xestoleptura - see http://bugguide.net/node/view/70118/bgpage for an example.

wallaby & suunto. Thanks for your bug expertise! It is good to know this guy is not the culprit. Now I need to track down who is messing up my sunflowers. Probally those pesky cucumber beetles. They are after just about everything in my garden.

Insects are interesting, but can be a royal pain in the neck sometimes, especially if you are try to make nice photgraphs!!

This picture of my daylillies is sweet except for the bug on the flower on the right.
