Oh I like, I like. Good job you did there! Love that pink one. Next year they should have a nice cluster of blooms.
So pretty! I love that second one! What perfect color.
Very nice!
I adore #2 I am so delighted to see a fellow Lily fan in this area sharing their treasures. Do you know the cultivar of #2? Now if we could get just a little more sun :-)
Wow, I wouldn't turn down having either one of them in my garden. :) Very nice!
Victorianblu: Both of them came from the seeds listed in box one.
great job, and really good looking lilies.
Hi,
I am not new to lillies, but I've never tried to grow them seed. I know this will probably sound like the craziest question you've ever received, but please try and help me----Where are the seeds in the lillies? I have Martagon, Trumpets, Orietapet, Oriental, etc.
Thanks for any help,
Carol
If you've always deadheaded your lilies, then you probably wouldn't have notice where the pods form. Here is more information http://lilies.org/hybridizing.html
Here is a pic of lily with the petals fallen away ~ the thick green part is the ovary which, if the pollination 'takes', will swell and contain the seeds.
Hi "neighbor" - I'm letting a few of my First Class lilies make me some seed. Mabel Violet floats my boat. :-)
Gorgeous ~ I love the rose colored reverse!
Thanks so much for sharing your pics. :)
Wow - just love the Salmon Star!!
mnorberry,
I think I might recognize your seed pack. I order seeds from HardyPlants.com and their packages look like yours.
I found a page on their site where they have your Lilium 'Trumpet / Aurelian Hybrids' seeds
http://www.hardyplants.com/seeds/flower/Lilium.html

Joy, you are correct. I went to their website and the information is the same as on the package. Thanks,
Mike
P.S. If during your searches, if you find a company selling orienpet seeds, let me know.
I'll keep an eye out for them Mike.
