hvfarm- Our roosters seem to change personality according to harem size. Too many girls and they get hyped up trying to protect everyone; too few and they fight each other to get some more... At about 8 hens apiece they'll eat out of my hands and follow me around.

i haven't read through the entire thread, but I did want to say that, after living in Central America, anything which mentions chickens in connection with cooking makes my mouth water.

this topic's title actually motivated me to go cook!

gee whiz, go have some bacon and eggs...

I'm not much of an egg fan (unless it's an ingredient in a delicious cake or cookie)!
