hvfarm- Our roosters seem to change personality according to harem size. Too many girls and they get hyped up trying to protect everyone; too few and they fight each other to get some more... At about 8 hens apiece they'll eat out of my hands and follow me around.

i haven't read through the entire thread, but I did want to say that, after living in Central America, anything which mentions chickens in connection with cooking makes my mouth water.
