I live in zone 4 and have a beautiful shrub that has white flowers similar to Goatsbeard. The leaves are very different. My local nursery was unable to id it. The leaves are unusual in that they grow from one point and then swirl around. Smooth leaf margins. See my pictures. I love this shrub. It grows very well in mostly shade next to my hyrandgea. Can you help me identify? Thanks
Need help identifying a beautiful shrub
It's a knotweed in the genus Fallopia, a herb not a shrub. Nice to look at in flower, but liable to be invasive.
Resin
Persicaria polymorpha; not actually invasive.
Thanks for your help! My plant is definitely the fleece flower!
