Looks like LA Kentucy.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

That would be one that is sold as Tango-Halloween which is the same as Kentucky and in no way resembles the original Halloween. Clear? ;)

North Augusta, ON

Clear as mud ^_^

Thanks all.

What about this one then?

three, I dunno, but whenever it gets ID'd, I'm going to get me some! They're both beautiful!!

I'm not real good at the speckled lilies ~ maybe Music Art? Where did these come from?

North Augusta, ON

Local seasonal garden centre. They are both nicely scented.

Oh geez.... all this time I thought you were in Augusta, Georgia. No wonder you can get nice lilies at a garden center!

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Well how do you know if you are going to get the REAL Halloween then??? DH really likes Halloween so I want to get one.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Well.... I suppose you'd have to find a vendor that sells an asiatic named Halloween (with a pic!) as a vivid, unspotted orange.

The Tango lilies are a group of asiatics with heavy speckling toward the center. The Tango-Halloween / Kentucky is an LA.

Can anyone out there help clarify ~ ?

Moby, you've done a pretty good job of clarifying mud!

Nanny, which Halloween does your DH really like? The speckled one? It can be purchased as a 'Tango' Halloween or as an LA called "Kentucky" which is also a registered lily. There have been brushmark lilies sold as Halloween such as Loretto, and like moby said the registered Halloween is a clear orange upfacing asiatic.

This is the one he saw in the catalog and said he liked it.

Though actually the pic in the catalog has more a brush mark too?????

AND I don't want to use this vendor particularly either!!

Sorry I took so long to respond...gone all day.

What do you mean you've been gone all day? How can you just leave like that when we have important things to talk about, like lilies ?? ;) lol

I generally have the same opinion regarding the vendor but to be honest, I have (and know of several others) that ordered the Tangos from them and they've been correct.

This is their 3rd year

LOL!! Do you believe I went to 3 nursery/garden centers, 4 if you count WM, and didn't find one thing I wanted to buy!!!!!

I will look around and do some searching, see what I find!

Sometimes that's a relief.....

I’ve run into somewhat the same problem-two lilies with the same name but, different characteristics. I purchased the lilies at different times, from different vendors supposedly- the same lily. Please notice the lilies in the center of the picture. The one on the right, through pictures & information, I identified as ‘Crème Brulee’. Does anyone know the identification of the other lily?
