Asiatic Lily Question

Not Asiatic, these are Oriental Lilies...

I was at my local nursery today, and they had a lot of Oriental lilies marked down to $0.50. These are all in quart size pots. They had finished blooming, and the stalks had been cut down to about 8" to 10", some had leaves, most didn't. I was really tempted to pick some up for that price, but wasn't sure if they would come back next year. Don't they need their leaves left on after they've bloomed. I was told that with the number of plants they had, all blooming at once, they used these in the flower arrangements in their florist shop, and decided to offer the plants for sale, rather than throwing them out. Should I run back and grab a few? I can wait until next year for flowers, I just don't want to buy bulbs that won't survive.

They should be ok, just set back a bit. Expect a smaller stem next year (and possibly no flower) and probably total recovery the year after that.
