I recently purchased 4 pictures that depict the seasons. Unfortunately, I do not speak Chinese and need help translating so I can get them in the correct order.
Any help is appreciated. If this pic is not enough, I have close-ups of the characters.

Help from Chinese speaking friends...
I have a friend who lives in Shanghai. I could email him pictures and his Chinese wife could translate for you. Will need better pictures of the writing though.

#1 is Spring, #2 is Summer, #3 is Fall, that would make #4 Winter. You might want a second opinion but from look at my notes from when I took Chinese I'm pretty sure.
Sounds like you got your answer.
zhinu,
I guess your this nickname means weaving girl, right? Wonder how you got this wonderful name full of Chinese culture.
And zhinu, I don't think that your Chinese notes are not wrong.
kwanjin, the first original picture, from right to left is Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter.
Chinese often relate seasons to flowers. Spring -- Peony, Summer -- Lotus, Fall -- Chrysanthemum, Winter -- Plum Blossoms
Any more questions about it? I'd like to answer you.
Jianhua
Thank you all for your time. I really appreciate it.
Jianhua - yes its weaver girl. I needed to change my user name, love mythology, wanted something I didn't have to add #s to (I did end up having to do that for my yahoo account), was reading Contact at the time so was fascinated with Vega, and was taking Chinese at the time.
I actually turned 7 in Tia Wan, I lived there for 9 mo., and my parents lived there for a year. It has effected my life since than. At 7 I knew that the US wasn't the center of the universe (something that many adults don't seem to realize), what an ugly American was, and that there were cultures out there that are equal, if not better, than ours.
RIGHT is the order of the very first picture.
Traditionally, Chinese 'pingfeng' with characters and drawings are arranged in order from right to left.
About different cultures, I have gotten two sayings :
The grass is always greener on the other side.
The moon over other lands is rounder and brighter than that over the native land. (A Chinese saying).
By the way, Pingfeng are often hung on the walls of a meeting room.
Which is a good thing because it will be our home's "meeting room".
Thanks for the education, Jianhua. I love all cultures and am always striving to know more.
And besides, in each of the 4 pictures there is a poem written in Chinese characters. They are about love of mother nature. The reading order is: lines -- from left to right , AND word by word -- from top to bottom. Hope you understand it.
