CLOSED: Found these on my rose leaf

Dade City, FL(Zone 9a)

Don't know if they are good or bad, but I pinched the leaf off anyway.

Anyone know what was getting ready to hatch?

Darn I was hoping someone would identify it/them

They look a lot like squash bugs, but what they'd be doing on rose leaves is a puzzlement. I would guess it is the eggs of a leaf-eater, but which I don't know...

It was probably very good that you pinched the leaf off. That is a great way to stop problems dead in their tracks.

Can you put them in a jar and let them hatch?

That's exactly what I have done. I have them in a bottle here on my desk. I hope they do hatch so I can see more.

If you put them in a warmer place - like in the garage - they will hatch sooner. Just don't forget them. (I've done that.) And let us know, please.
