CLOSED: new one for me

I leave a nitelite on for walking back and forth to the neighbor's house. I always find interesting creatures there but this one looks more like a mosquito on steroids. With sunglasses on, of course.

That's a robber fly - I believe one of the Diogmites - or hanging thief. Very interesting insect.

Thank you for the help, for what little I found I believe he's one of the bad guys, kills bees.
