Do you remember where you got it?

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

Ticker, No, I've been wracking my brain on that one. The only lily that I have a record of purchase for that I can't match up with a photo from any source is called American Journey. If I bought this at a store as opposed to online, then I might not have saved the paper and many of my marker's printing washed away. Thank you

From the orientation in the pic I'm guessing it's out-facing, somewhat nodding?

Yes, Moby. I would say so. The stems are all leaning too.

Do you think you'd recognize a name? Maybe Scheherazade or Arabesque?

Moby, I haven't looked at your link yet, but The more I looked at the garden today, the more I remember writing "American Journey Lily" on those markers. But I can't locate a reference for such a lily. Let me check your link. Both of those names are very familiar, but it may be from drooling over catalogues.

Moby, It is closest to Scheherazade. But my red is a true blood red. I thought that I also planted white lilies amongst these, but those durn furry critters could have gotten them.

When Catherine Vandersaalm (hybridizer of the "American" series) gave a presentation on her hybridizing efforts to our lily society, she rattled off a long list of American this and American thats, many I had never heard of. After a while (a long while, as I recall) she asked us if we noticed anything common to all these names and of course we laughed.

This one is a real beauty. I love that gold edge.

Schez. has a more deep tone to it. I can't quite explain it, but I don't think it's Schez.

Thank you all. I'm pretty sure this is american Journey. I remember putting so many markers in all along my tree line with that name. There is a whole other group of lillies yet to bloom mixed in with it, but they are less than 3' tall.

Dont ever let DSO do fall leaf cleanup. Those markers you can still read, all end up in a pile!!!

I've been so happy with my new lillies this year. The other one is Fangio. Thank you all so very much.
