beautiful pictures tigerlily,
Nanny, I see, your little hummingbird still does the wire act!!! Nice show :) Cute Bunny too.
GM great photos, wish the blue jay would return. Haven't seen them at all this year.
Oh Pelle, I see I'm not the only one stuck with the Grackle, on the suet feeder or others seeds station. the Starlings were more a bother last Winter for me. I see an occasional one here and there.

A Chickadee, who hasn't figured out the feeder yet.

See what I mean!!!!

My big silly American Crows are starting to come to the yard again as there are fewer and fewer grackles now! I have missed them so much.

There were 3 in the tree but I could only get pics of 2.

Nanny, Your lucky to see crows in the yard. Nice pics all!

PERTH, Australia

Gorgeous birds. You can send your Grackles over to me.

Orchard Park, NY

Enjoyed this thread everyone. Thanks. Very colorful red-breasted sapsucker lily, tanager, and black thoated gray warbler. New birds for me. Lots of birds with red feathers.

Florence, MS(Zone 8b)

I went to a different place yesterday. One I hoped would have wood peckers. I found Red-bellied and Red-headed. The Red-headed were the only ones to pose for me.

I already had hundreds of pics of the adults but none of the juveniles. Here is a juvenile Red-headed WP.

rut roh Nanny, better hide your scary blue bowl from the crows.

Well, I know it's been two months since my red-breasted grosbeaks visited but I thought I'd post another picture because they are so lovely and I miss them.

I too am enjoying all these lovely pics of birds I haven't seen before, wonderfully close to.
thanks margaretK for your great pic of the oystercatches, with the info from you Resin and Little_things,

Welcome, bootandall. Your Oystercatchers look like they're having a chat about the price of seafood as they go for a stroll along the beach.

Blenheim, New Zealand

I think they where talking about me, they had been resting, and where walked off when i got a bit close .
Boot

Port Elizabeth, South Africa(Zone 10a)

Nice bootandall...good stuff, I've learned alot about the oystercatcher this week, thanks to resin and your added pics, not forgetting Margaret. Bootandall, maybe we can call yours H. uniLeggae, given the second pic...LOL!! This was great. If you add the great reaction on the helmeted guineafowl I added on the Africa tread (I never knew it would be so interesting in reaction) this forum has made my week....

Van Etten, NY(Zone 5a)

Boot, those are such striking birds with their long orange beaks. Love them resting on one leg. Do you see a lot of them?

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Ooop! Yes, adult winters also have the white collar; the bird in the pic is a juv on the basis of the dark tip of the bill

Great shots! M.E. I got to see a pair of grosbeaks just this afternoon with their two kiddos at a neighbor's house. She feeds her birds only saflower seeds. You should see all the feathered diners!

Here's the pop.
