Yes, it is a Large Carpenter Bee. They resemble bumble bees but lack hair on the abdomen.

It looks like an Eastern Carpenter Bee, Xylocopa virginica, but you are in Egypt so it will be a similar Xylocopa sp.

By searching for 'Xylocopa Egypt' I have found links with a few species.

Xylocopa pubescens looks good, it's used as an agricultural pollinator in greenhouses.
