Can I graft a crepe myrtle?

I currently have several varieties of crepes, my favorite being a Whit II- Dynamite. I would like to know if I would have any success grafting additional colors of crepes onto my Dynamite. If anyone has tried this, what method of grafting did you use? I realize that this is not the best time of year to do so, but would like to have a plan in place before the spring.

I know that crape myrtles can be grafted, never tried it though so I have no tips, but if you've grafted other things before I would assume it wouldn't be much different than what you've done before.
