CLOSED: Bug ID, what is this?

Hebron, KY

I found this bug on the back of our house (sunniest side of the house) on June 21, 2008 around 12:30 pm. I have five pics of it.

Please id and let me know if it's a 'good' bug or a 'bad' bug. I haven't seen it since.

Thanks for all your help!

Marilyn

This is a nymph of a katydid (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae), but I am uncertain as to its specific identity.

Looks an awful lot like this one, but...

This morning I noticed what looked like a black butterfly or moth, feeding on a tall weed with tiny pink flowers.

Two pictures.

Anyone know what this is?

Thanks,

trois
