They are just beginning their flowering season but I so love this time of the year....please share your pictures and ID if possible. I am trying to learn the IDs on mine, and am already drooling over some of the new (to me) varieties.

Favorite time of the year. crape myrtles
I'll have to go for a walk tomorrow with my camera. Think I have 5 different colored mrytles at least on my street. They're used a lot of my neck of the woods.
CoreHHI:
These are crape myrtles that my DH planted almost 30 years ago. He brought them from a trip to Georgia to Oklahoma, because then they were unusually. LOL, I have only been here 22 years., so they are older than me. They are beautiful on full bloom, but I can' t tell you what they are, No ID, We also have four other ones smaller (10 ft) ones in our back yard, also brought from GA to OK. But when, they get in full bloom,, all of our neighbors talk about our crape myrtles.
But since I've got on DG, OM goodness, the candy cane...etc, etc... We lost a lot of trees/shrubs in an ice storm last year, and we have decided to go with crapes, so any pictures would be much appreciated.
How pretty!! And such a nice complement to your entryway. I have been looking at the candy cane one, that is pink with white edges. I just have to find room for it, somewhere. Thanks for sharing, Peg
