I still have the babies, bantams in the spare bedroom. It is just to cool to put them out there now. It is almost noon and only 77 out, will be hotter than hades tomorrow tho........................
It's only 70 here, we have our very small chicks in 2 separate cages that we sit in the sun, then move back into the garage at night with a heat lamp if they need it. We had to start up another cage in the house with a heat lamp for the chicks coming now.....the age difference between the ones for the incubators and the ones coming from the broody's just got to be too much. I still glad to be here at DG's where having chicks in the house is not a strange or weird thing! LOL!

I live in a VERY HOT area and am really pleased with the Silver Laced Brahams from Murray McMurray. They lay well and get HUGE. Great all purpose chicken!

yes but she wil say "summer coming and i need to get a tan" maybe i could take down the pool and leave the deck and she could sun bake next to the chickens LOL nah i lik the pool to and it is very hard to keep it clean in the winter so i am not going to take down all my hard work and it is semi inground so about 5 feet is under ground and i would hav a job getting that sucker out out
Hey lucky, you could convert your pool into a lovely pond for ducks or geese....hey, why not both? lol Bet your wife would really love that! lol : )

trust me it is already lik a pond for the wild ducks i spend half my life getting my dog to go and chase them away (she cant get in to th actual pool area but they see her running and it frightens them off) and we dont get wild geese in my area
