There is nothing in my TODO list

I started my journal today and entered 4 items. One has "TODO" in several fields:

Journal: Default
Category: Pests/Diseases
Status: TODO

Initial Comments:
TODO snail bait

However when I try to access my TODO items, I get:

Use the Journal Menu on the right to add a new item.

How do I attach a TODO to an item?

Here's how to get there:
1) Go to your journal main page
2) Click on "Access All Items" in the Main Menu section (or else go down to the "access by category" or "access by status" areas and click on the category/status that contains the plant you want a to-do for)
3) Next to each plant in the list, you'll see a link that says "Add", click this
4) Under "What type of entry is this", choose To Do, then type whatever your to-do is in the text box.
