Kudos Texas DGers!!!! You've made my day. What a wonderful story!!!!!
Operation Rescue Aggiegrl's Garden: Attending July 26th
Tracie, I'm glad things are working out so well for you!! Good always wins out!!
Well... that just makes us sound famous..LOL and I haven't heard the lil story that Mr Goodwyn wrote for us.. I have dial up!! BUT.. we are no diiferent than anyone else....... we just acted on it.. and as they say here in the good ol South.... "got er done"....
I have had a busy week.. and my back has NOT been cooperating!! My Momma in the Nursing Home had to go to the Dr yesterday with excruciating back pain.. and then back to the hospital last night for xrays.. so I was MIA all day and night with her! ( I only had 4 hrs. sleep cause my back was killing me.. ) sooo I died last night about midnight... Momma is no better but the hospital in Jasper didn't have a radiologist last night.. can you believe?? we still don't know the results from her.. my momma is tuff.. and she was hurting soo bad so I know she has a pinced nerve or something..
Tracie... Lyle got me a lowboy load of mulch Wed. afternoon. I thought I would have the time to unload it before Sat... sorry.. I am going back to the NH in a bit, and I won't even get started on that.. so depending on my Momma.. and how she is doing will depend on if I get there tomorrow or not.. no lowboy though.... anyone else have some kind of tralier they can bring?? Sure made it nice... one load..lol and I mean LOAD!!
I am hoping to be able to come.. I sure want to see you girls again.. and of course to help!!..hehe Love ya'll!! TTYL... tonight
Becky
Oh Becky, I'm sorry to hear that about your Mother and yourself. I was looking forward to seeing you again, but the RU's are not to far away.lol Give your Mom our best and get some rest for heavens sake:0)
This may leave us down to only three people helping. So if anyone, PLEASE can come, even for a short time, please, please do so. I know Tracie appreciates it as much as each of us would in the same predicament. Hope to see you there!
I have a 10 foot trailer and we could use my car and trailer, if Cocoa or Mibus are comfortable driving my car with a trailer on it. (or has a 2" hitch receiver on her car). My leg has not been bothering me lately because I have been exercising, so I may be able drive the whole way. Any thoughts girls?
Sweezel, I think we can just pile the plants my SUV and be fine. It's seen plenty of garden dirt over the years. I can drive it over to Tracie's Dad and either come back and pick ya'll up or if Tracie has room in her car, you and Mibus could ride over to his house with her. It can be really slow going on these country roads hauling a trailer.lol
I think y'all deserve a Dave's Medal for helping out like this! Wish I was closer, I'd be cheerleader, since I couldn't do much of anything else!!
Work's for me. :)
Becky,
sorry to hear about your mother and that you are not feeling well. i know you are a tough one! i hope to see you, but if not you have already gone above and beyond!
tracie
Hey Becky you take care of you and your mom I know we can get er done LOL
cocoa and I have done our share of diggin just at my house alone with bamboo roots so I know if the ground is as easy as everyone says we can get alot done tomorrow or have a blast tryin
Hey Girls...
I just got in after spending another 5 1/2 hrs in the ER with my Momma.. She is in terrible pain.. and we have found out just through regular Xrays.. that it is degenerative.. but lots of bony spurs etc. I know it is pincing nerves.. and I don't see how I can go help ya'll tomorrow! I need to go back to the NH and make sure they will keep her pain meds regulated.. or should I say make sure they give them to her!!
I hate not being able to help, and of course spend time with all of you.. I have already put in for the Arlington and Jacksonville RU's soo I will be seeing you soon!!
It would have been easier if ya'll could have had the trailer.. but you can stack those sacks, and get a surprising amount in the suv.. I know you girls will figure it all out..LOL
OH Tracy.. I finally got to hear the radio thingy.. in bits and spurts..hehe but that ol Wade didn't finish my sentence.. I told him you were a crazy nut.....LIKE THE REST OF US!!! The media sure can twist our words to make us sound the way they want us too!
Good luck tomorrow girls.. and I hope the weather gives ya'll cloudy skies so it won't be sooo hot!!
Love ya'll!!!!
Every time I hear, read or talk about this story and what you all are doing, I always get tears. You all in Texas are awesome, wonderful, supportive, tremendous people. It makes me want to move there. Fondly enough... I just might. I work for a United Methodist church and there are talks of transferring me to a district in Texas. That certainly would not be a bad thing. ^_^ God love you all!
Blessings,
Ben
hehehe well come on down LOL Ben heck I move here just last July from Illinois and I may have been born and raised up there but these gals and guys have done noting but make me fee like I a part of a big family should have been here years ago.
Well, how did it go ladies...I know you're all worn out...but, what a sense of accomplisment!! Kudos!!!!

Oh my ... What a tearjerker ... Tracie God has blessed you with Victoria, She is one awesome young lady.
well i'd say we all need to do this again sometime but....hahaha. i DO think we all need to meet up again at a roundup or some such. when it cools off! it was great meeting everybody from "up north". y'all will have to come back down when naconiche gardens is open again. definitely a place you don't want to miss. there's a great sale at sfa in nacogdoches this fall as well. tracie, i looked up peacock glads and i used to have some at the old place. love them!! oh, and tell avery she needs to get her behind on here. well, back to bonding with the couch to rest my sun addled self.
steph

Awww I knew you girls could do it!! I still wish I could have helped.. BUT... Momma is no better, but at least they are getting routine pain meds in her and as long as she doesn't move she can get comfortable. The meds make her a lil sleepy, and that is great cause she ..with the Alzheimers.. wants to "go to bed" and then 5 mins later wants to get up.. bless her heart!! TY for all your concern...
Sure wish I could have met the new girls... TY ior jumping in there.. it was fun wasn't it??..hehe
Tracie... I agree with all the comments lovingly sent your way.. there is a reason for everthing.. and there is ALWAYS a light at the end of the tunnel ... and I know you have the patience to follow through.. Good luck and God Bless your lil family. Victoria is way more mature than most girls her age.. you are truly blessed!!
Love to all of you!!
avery is all excited to go to the fall RU. i hope her enthusiasm holds out! i know i really want to go and see everyone again and meet many of you that i not met yet. well, made 3 trips with the moving truck to the storage unit. luckily we got a few males to help out. of course, my brothers kept griping about all my stuff. i cant help it, i had a lot of stuff! the kids and i are going to stay at the house until Wed, finish up packing and move the rest then. i am sure there will be some sad moments, especially now that the house is pretty much empty. the reality is really hitting now. oh well, i have to keep moving forward and not dwell. thanks again, everyone.
tracie
Dear Tracie,
Change is hard, but I still think God's hand is in this. Look at the miracles you have already got! The reality is hard, but I still think you are going to be so blessed, (Right Victoria?, love that child) that it will surprise you. Let go and let God have his way... Believe in yourself and Him ... and keep being such a good mom to your kids. And we are always closer to God in our gardens.
Man, now I'm preachin' :) Love ya and you are in my prayers. Merpeg
Oh Traci listen to merpeg ....so true!!
I know from first hand experience it is not easy and times can get you down but as you said do not dwell on it and move forward.
Life is to short to look back and dwell on the what if's, woulda, shoudla, coulda's.
Right on the money girls!! I know it's hard tracie.. I have been where you are.. I was 38, but my kids were 17 and 18.. so they were lots older.. and I made it..LOL So can you!! Look at each day like it was your last! You will find soo much peace in it.. and you know we aren't promised a tomorrow anyway!! You have spirit, and I have no doubt you will be fine.. Heck you can lean on Victoria.. I have never seen a more mature young girl!! You are soo blessed already!!
Becky
