CLOSED: bugs ?
These could be nymphs of bugs in the family Pyrrhocoridae (red bugs/stainers) or Rhopalidae (scentless plant bugs). Recent literature on Hemiptera/Heteroptera in India seems limited; one of the few I've come across can be seen at http://www.vedamsbooks.com/no10370.htm; also, a list of older works on the 'Fauna of British India' can be seen at http://www.insects.demon.co.uk/fauna-india.html
