Found it today on a Brunnera leaf. It's quite hairy..

CLOSED: I think this is Lagria hirta..
There are other Lagria, two in the UK but the common one is L. hirta. A search for 'Lagria' brings up plenty of L. hirta but nothing else so there's nothing to compare it with.
Yours did seem to have more brown hairs on the thorax and legs, but this looks to be variable.
The Wikimedia link has one which looks like yours, so I would cal lit L. hirta.
