I looked this up and don't know if it's a June Beetle or not. The pics I saw it doesn't have a horn on top of its nose. Does anyone know what it is. It's about an 1" long. Is it a good guy or bad guy? Thanks.

Good guy... it's a Rainbow Dung Beetle, genus Phanaeus... maybe Phanaeus difformis. So cool.
Thanks a lot. I'll look that up to see what makes him a good guy. Too bad, he is no more. He flew into the front door and knocked himself down to the porch. He was spinning and buzzing in circles on his back for so long, making such an annoying noise, I put him out of his misery. Sorry about that.
They're not supposed to spread diseases the way flies do, with the same diet.
