Cool critter. Are Moon Snails edible ?

I've been told they are but have never tried. Escargot Maximus perhaps? Most of the egg cases are about 8 to 10" across.

Moon snails are edible. One of my sons spent 5 years in Korea (not in the service), and learned to eat what he peop0le over there eat. He likes to eat moon snails. Says they are good. I wont eat them, though!

There were 3 of them and they were young and friendly. I don't know where the mama was.
this guy didn't let me get close until I dressed up like woody woodpecker with a red shirt and black pants and red hat. Then I got to walk right up to him.

I love Woody Woodpecker (I can hear him now). Great picture - really shows how big these guys are.
