I sure dont remember having these last year so am at a loss as to how they suddenly appeared in my garden..I love them, what a nice gift from whoever tossed them my way..could it have been birds??

Anyway, does anyone know the name???

It's very nice whatever Ipomoea purpurea-oid it may be.

Two words - Bird droppings! LOL! I have gotten all kinds of interesting plants in my yard from all the birds that drop by in the winter and eat seeds/fruit and then relieve themselves in my yard! LOL!

Very pretty blooms and vine! Sometimes you get some unexpected and lovely plants from our fine feathered friends! :-)

Thanks for the info...this year I will gather some seeds to make sure I have them next year...and the next...and the next....LOL

I figured it had to have been courtesy of birds, too...but usually they gift me with invasive weed types..I will have to thank them for this one.

They favor the light version of Joyce Cobb. The markings are a little fuzzy for Milky Way. Milky Way has very clear defined "eyes" and the light Joyce Cobb has fuzzy seeming like watercolor bleeding for the "eyes" and a light fuchsia shading in the throat.

That`s my novice guess. :)
