CLOSED: cut worms

I have a friend who's garden is being destroyed by cut worms. Any suggestions on what to do about these nasty insects? I would prefer natural remedies, but will take any feedback. Thanks!

Yep. Make cutworm collars. Cut an empty toilet paper cardboard in half and place it over the plant, inserted into the soil a bit. The cutworms can't climb up it and can't cut your plant down.
