Not sure there. Hope I am on the good side. I gave up 32 teeth last may so I should be in good standing with the lil fairy.

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

when i sorted them out to take the 25, i found anothe rone frizzling!

and i took one bird that was os interesting but i coudlnt' figure it out. now it seems it is likely a Silver Duckwing OEG. i think i kept one like that too.

Peter pulled out three he had named, so i had to come BACK into the house and try to find three more LOL

really tired, you may not here from me tomorrow. i worked at a friends house all day, helping with chores and moving chickens, cleaning pens, and making room for more...

Tam can you post the link to your buckets for treats for the chickens. I told DH about it and got the rolled eye look. I will have to try it. Maybe with fish heads and innerds.

lol

found it, silly me forgot about the search here. Now I know if I leave my dogs food out to long it is covered in fly's you think that might work also. In the bucket of course.

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

the point of the bucket is to attract as many flies as possible so you actually decrease the population. seems to me you want to put hte MOST tempting specimen in the bucket....

you all are talking of the glory of guts in a bucket feeding thingy ? LOL :) I think its a great idea.
L2G i can see your DH and his eyes rolling LOL Mine did the same thing.

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

well, mine filled the last bucket!

cat, ladybugs needs to know how much selenium to add to her Vit E oil for a crooked necked chick.

also, Rockette must have had quite the dust bath yesterday, she kicked off her band... trying to tell me something?

I'm not sure how much to add--because my Vit E came with selenium. I would just start mixing very small amounts in until the symptoms disappear and then for a week or so longer. I'll look at the bottle to see what the amount is.

I was using one capsul per day squeezed into about 1/4 a shot glass of wet chick starter--he never ate the whole thing, but I fed it to him several times a day.

The bottle says: Vitamin E-400 IU with Natural d-Alpha plus Selenium 50 mcg (as Selenium Yeast).

You can buy Vitamin E with or without Selenium, but apparently Silkie chickens in particular need higher doses of Selenium than normal chicks. I also massaged his neck three times a day--but that did nothing until I started the Vit E/Selenium.
