CLOSED: Ewe- I hate really large spiders

Clairton, PA

Can any one help me ID this nasty little critter I found on the back porch?
My sister suggested a wolf, but I don't think it was hairy enough, maybe a trapdoor or a brown recluse?

I have no idea, but the markings on the legs kind of look like the spider I found, which someone here kindly identified as a fishing/nursery web spider.

Some wolf spiders (family Lycosidae) and fishing/nursery web spiders (family Pisauridae) can appear quite similar - the main difference is in their eye arrangement - wolf spiders have their anterior median eyes much larger than the others; the eyes of fishing spiders are all pretty nearly the same size. Unfortunately, the eyes of this spider cannot be seen clearly enough to tell.

Well I don't think it's a nursery spider, we do not have any water around the area, not even a puddle. We live in the outskirts of Pittsburgh. I looked up a picture of the Nursery spider and the body shape is not what I saw. Sorry
Here's the picture of the Nursery Spider I found on the net

suunto, you might appreciate this spider photo I ran across this morning: http://flickr.com/photos/techuser/2599763160/

How about the sharp focus on those eyes?!

I clicked around the guy's account http://flickr.com/photos/techuser/ and he has absolutely amazing shots of bugs and spiders and other stuff.

I had a spider get in my house a couple of summers ago that was as big as a tarantula (no lie)! He was sooo big you could see his feet! I doused him with bug be gone max. Made him wobble but didn't kill him. He was at least stunned enough my son could whack him with the swatter. I have always assumed it was a wolf spider. Still makes my skin crawl remembering it. Guess I am going to have to leave this forum or I will have trouble sleeping. Ha! ha!
