Ahhh, shucks - you guys didn't get the rain? I was so hoping. We got about 2" in my part of southwest Houston. The other bad part about hurricanes is that it brings in the really hot tropical air behind it. They way we'll have no breeze tomorrow. I'm staying inside, for sure.
Texas Drought
I know I was hoping rain would blow up our way ...the day dollie hit that night we had clouds and thunder but not a drop and today it was mostly cloudy but still not a drop ..I even thought about cleaning my car again as the last time I did that we had a nice shower for about an hour..lol
We were hoping too. I'm happy for everyone who did get some . . . except those who got too much. It will be our turn next time. I hope the breeze stays for a day or so. It sure has made it nicer to be outside watering. : )
I'm watching the news and feel so badly for those in South Texas with the flooding, no electricity, and the heat. Six weeks until some low places dry out, so the news anchor said. Prayers tonight going their way.
oh yes a breeze for the weekend would be great they are saying we are to hit 100 before the heat index is even put in ...I did some heavy deep watering this evening before the sun went down totally to help them have a good start in the morning.
and for those of us going to Lufkin to help aggiegirl a nice breeze will be nice and everyone going to RJ's have a blast ...If I wasn't' already committed to going to help in Lufkin and had the gas I would be there with bells on to see RJ's place
103 yesterday and today....nothing wet fallin' from the skies..plenty from the brow...maybe, maybe ...Tuesday....
