Hi
I think this could be a Hawks Head Moth partly out of a crysalis
Can anyone confirm this please

I'm not familiar with the hawk's head moth, but this specimen bears some resemblance to the eyed sphinx moth (Smerinthus ocellata) - see http://www.butterflies-moths.com/images/smerinthus_ocellata.jpg for an image.
