I'll start off part 2 of June flowas. I went into the greenhouse this evening and was hit by sweet smells. I had several hoyas blooming. I had to stand on a ladder to take 2 of the pictures. I'll start off with Finlaysonii red halo.
Blessings,
Awanda

Beautiful flowers!! Love the NOID.
Jan
Could that noid cream/yellow be H. aff fishcheriana...?
Awanda....that H. finlaysonii 'red halo'...could that be the H. finlaysoniiXH.incrassata cross?

Carol, the Finlaysonii red halo is what it was named when I purchased it, plus its leaves and flowas are different than my finlaysonii x incrassata's. I got the yellow noid from Kartuz's about 5-6 years ago and it was labled as Bordenii, which I know it isn't. I can't find a flowa for Fischeriana online, but the description doesn't match the noid flowa. I'm hoping I get a answer from my email I sent out asking for an ID. It really is a beautiful yellow flowa and a robust grower. The leaves got a really nice reddish color during the winter. I now have more shade cloth over the gh, to provide more shade from this 114+ weather we've been having.
Blessings,
Awanda
Awanda...I posted a photo of H. fischeriana last month...(or was it early this month????). DL confirmed the ID. If you got it from DL. If you got it from Kartuz...who knows. Ted Green sells a different plant as H. fischeriana.
Aloha,
Carol
I do have Fischeriana from DL and when you put both hoyas together you can see the difference. The leaves on this one are thicker than Fischeriana leaves.
Blessings,
Awanda
ETA: Carol I found the post and I noticed you said Fischeriana had a nice smell, I couldn't detect any type of smell on the noid. It may well be related to Fischeriana, wow that would be a nice mis-labeled hoya!

Awanda, the archie is really nice. It is the white clone, or a pale pink?
Mark it's the white clone. Ted Green asked me why it was so white and I told him I watered it with bleach,,,,,,j/k.
Blessings,
Awanda
Beautiful flowas, Sistah A!!!
My goodness ... Y'all are killing me with all these beautiful hoya blooms! I want a greenhouse! A Hoya only greenhouse, full of blooming hoyas!
We are in the process (long drawn out process it seems) of having our pool and screened pool enclosure refinished. I am antsy for them to get it done so I can move my plants and furniture back onto the deck and get things all arranged. It's been over a week and we are hoping by next weekend the pool will be full of water, not garbage and rainwater as it is now, that the workers will be out of here and the area is back to normal! My husband went out a couple of weeks ago and bought many iron plant brackets, steel pipes (used for chain link fencing) and hung them completely around the perimeter of the screen enclosure and on the covered deck. He painted it all brown to match the aluminum pool enclosure and I can't wait to hang my plants back out there! Everything is out in the yard hanging in trees, crammed in shady corners of the yard, I have 3 plant stands behind the shed and a bunch of plants sitting on the ground out there, and a lot crammed into our enclosed florida room (porch). Oh how nice it will be to have everything back in order!
I have a couple blooming right now ... just the everyday common hoyas, compacta, krinkle 8, krimson princess (3) and a couple of lacunosa's. I found a couple of peduncles on multiflora this morning. Lots of growth in the past month on others, hopefully blooms will show up before long.
Was going to post a couple of photo's I took yesterday but I'm on my laptop ... we've been having horrendous afternoon storms so the desktop machine is shut down and that's where all my photos are stored.
I sure am enjoying all these lovely hoya pictures everyone is posting, I love some of the interesting foliage as well as the blooms.
I heard back from David regarding my noid and he said it looks like the Australian form of Hoya pottsii, (H. nicholsoniae).
Blessings,
Awanda
OH, good Awanda.. it is always great to have the correct name!!!
Those are both very nice. I really like H. cv joy, so dainty and delicate looking.
Very cool Carol! I didn't know that.
....and cv. Noelle is Joy's daughter. But I don't have a photo of her....
Carol, very nice photo of your sister. I think the cv joy looks like her LOL. Very pretty.
Jan
Great picture of your lovely sister! What an honor to have a plant named after you, especially plants as beautiful as cv. Joy and cv. Noelle! Very cool!
Awanda.......love the merrillii!! and I have a small tjadasmalangensis but had no Idea what the flower looked like, thanks for posting.
ric
Carol,
your sister is a very pretty lady. Didn't know the hoya was named after her, how nice!
Beautiful blooms everyone , congratulations!!!
Wow, so many different hoyas! All so pretty!
Mark: That H. dickasoniana is really nice! The fragrance sounds wonderful! Was it stronger at night?
Awanda: Lovely blooms on merrillii and I love that tjadasmalangensis! LOL ... long name, I think I'd have to refer to it as Tad for short.
Lin, it was stronger at night, but still not as strong as I like (think "cloying").
Awanda, I'm impressed. I think tjadasmalangensis is the hardest Hoya name I have seen to remember and spell right. I remember it only because it IS so obnoxious of a name, it became a badge of pride to get it right.
Oh my ... is that Giant leaf from that plant?? If so, Wow! Those leaves are really nice!
They aren't so giant as they are interesting! This is one of the hoyas that used to be called H. macrophylla....some of the others are H. clandestina and there are a few more.
Carol
Oh, such a pretty bloom! But, you say it smells like insecticide? Yuck! That is one that would have to stay outside!
