The little rascals are everywhere. Small Japanese beetle?? The back is a bit more olive drab than indicates in the picture. Old digital camera.
Any ID help appreciated.

This is a chafer (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae); possibly the rose chafer, Macrodactylus subspinosus - see http://www.forestryimages.org/browse/detail.cfm?imgnum=1234028 for an image.
