Paul,

I like this story. Do you know there are people who believe that snipes are fictional and don't really exist?

Hey I still ain't seen one.......:)
But seriously I think older kids take younger kids snipe hunting all over America, well some kinda hunting, fictitious or not.....
and the fact that so many use snipes as goofs in a joke adds to the mistaken thinking that they don't exist anyways.....but I ain't seen a snipe myself so I don't know if they're real or not just like them guys didn't really land on the moon......:)

Paul,

Snipe do exist, but I've yet to hear of anyone who actually hunted and caught them. No doubt someone has, though.

In So. CA it's grunion hunting. There are many people who don't believe grunion are real either. Mostly grunion hunting is an excuse to go to the beach at night. especially for high school kids. As far as I know most of them don't worry about catching the grunion. However, I did have a date in high school to hunt grunion -- he actually insisted on catching them! Took them home in a bucket. Only person I ever heard of who did that. LOL.

I used to use something as an excuse for staying out all night, it wasn't a grunion though, it was running out of gas......I must have run outta gas a million times, I'm so forgetful.......:)

My wife wrote something Karen as a guest writer on my blog, you better read it or she'll have you sleeping in the guest bedroom like she threatened to with me, do you even have a guest bedroom? If not don't worry about reading the story......:)

Paul,

I read your wife's guest article -- you are one lucky fellow to have such a sweet lady for a wife!!

They say nobody agrees with anybody 100%.....What do 'they' know, I agree with you 100%!!!.......I'm exceedingly lucky, and yes she is a sweet lady as a wife and just a wonderful person period......Why would somebody like me deserve someone like her? I ain't 100% sure why......:)
but I am certain I appreciate your nice comment.....thanks Karen.
