Have you seen these adorable puppy flower arrangements?
We had a wonderful time. Spent the entire day at the farm animal section. We watched the Black Angus judging event. We saw tons of pigs, goats, sheep and cows/bulls, rabbits of all kinds, chickens, deer, llamas, alpacas, pot bellied pigs. The list goes on! Had a great time!...and horses too!

P.S.! Love the watering can and bucket set, it's gorgeous Cissy!
Hi Terri and thank you! For the galvanized bucket set, I used Folkart Outdoor Acrylic paints. No water is used. Colors are vibrant and that set can be used outdoors w/o degradation at all. If not going outside, regular acrylic paint can be used too.
For the candles, I used Folkart Enamel Acrylic paint. Regular acrylic won't stick for long LOL. But first....and this is for glass and galvanized tin as well, you need to rub down with rubbing alcohol first. This gets rid of any oils on the surface ...particularly on candles. Unscented is best, but scented can be used. Just remember to use the alcohol first. Those candles can be burned too :)
These are all lovely Christmas gift ideas Cissy, well done!
What you makin' next?? lol!
Very nice, Talented creative lady!
Thanks, Terri. They are gifts for like my sister in law, hairdresser and nail lady....oh, my Curves work out place LOL
Like it!! curves work out place, sounds cool. Nail lady? are you a REAL gardener??? haha!
Terri, you believe how good this lady does nails. I have those acrylic ones. I wear gloves or not and they never get wrecked. When I worked at the library handling many books a day or at the post office as a clerk, handling mail and packages every day, my nails never got bad or broken. :D :D :D!! heehee
Wow, I've never had my nails done!!! maybe I should treat myself one day? I'm sure it would feel really weird with false nails, can't imagine it. LoL
Well, at my age I need false nails. These gels/acrylic nails are are just wonderful. My hands (at least the nail part) looks great. They are hard, to be sure. I have only two things I treat myself to now that I am retired. Nails and hair. Hair not false, just colored heeheeeeee
Ohhhhhh Cissy! You sound very glamorous Darling. LOL!!!!!!
Why, soitenly, Terri! :D
ok stan or is it ollie?!! What have you been up to Cissy? spill the beans!! Have you made anymore precious gifts? Have a nice weekend!
Neither, Terri! "soitenly is from The Three Stooges, Curly to be exact! LOL. This year, besides painting glass vases and candles for Xmas gifts, I decided to hand paint their Christmas Cards as well. Hey, that was fun! LOL
LoL, it was funny anyway!! Hey good idea! how about starting a christmas thread with your goodies?
I'd love to see your cards for inspiration. Don't say you sent them already?!! It's always nice to hear from you Cissy!
No, haven't sent them. These are for the family at Christmas, so they are given in person. I'll take a photo of one or two. I have software that I print out words and a graphic here and there, then I paint something on them to dress them up. First time to do this, but they turned out OK. Will post pic later!
Ohhhh they are all lovely! The second is my fav with the glitter flowers and the christmas tree one.
These are very special cards Cissy, I'm sure the family will love the personal touch!
Sweet eh? owwwww is my name on your christmas card list then?? lol!
Thanks so much for sharing the photos of your lnspirational cards. I love glitter!!
Your fine work has started to get me in the Christmas mood!
OOoooOOooO thank you, Terri! They all have glitter, but the camera didn't get close enough except for the second one. I think I will do this on birthdays, too. I't real enjoyable and I found an acrylic paint that either doesn't or does very little in the way of warping the card stock. That's important :)
Happy everything!! heeheee
I'm going to look for my box of glitter tomorrow!!!!
Yes, warping is no good...not good .. no no
Happy everything to you too and goodnight!!
watch out for glitter in your bed. teehee.
Hi Sis_E....butting in here to say your cards are beautiful. And I would like to ask what software you are using. Also the paint that doesn't warp. I've used water colors and water pencils, with mixed success. Would be interested in the brighter colors of acrylic.
Thank you.....Sally
Hi Sally! Thank you for your comments :) The acrylic I found is called Kaiser. I found them at my local scrapbooking place called Scrapbook Island. There is a little teeny warping, but certainly nothing bad at all. The paint is in large tubes and quite a variety of colors. I use brushes made to paint on wood or paper. The brushes are Plaid Folkart made for the Donna Dewberry One Stroke Painting method. :) HOpe that helps, Sally!
You funny, Terri! LOL
Thank you Sis_E. That's a great help. I think you meant the software is Plaid Folkware......right.
Sally, The software I use the print the cards is Greeting Card Factory I purchased at Staples. The paint brushes I use to paint by hand are the Folkart brushes made by Plaid. They can be found online or at craft stores like Michaels. Folkart also makes acrylic paints, but they warp paper too much. That's why I like Kaiser paints. The flowers you see on the cards are hand painted using the folkart brushes made to use on paper along with the Kaiser paints I found at Scrapbook Island store :)
Thanks, I misunderstood. I'll be off to Staples soon. And I'll check Michaels, I know they have Folkart paint but don't remember seeing Kaiser, but it's been a while since I looked. We do have a Scrapbook store, not the same as yours, but I'll try there too.
Thank you again, Sally^_^
Sally, Michael's doesn't carry Kaiser......I only found it at the scrapbook store and only by a fluke. :) It's called "Kaiser Acrylic Craft Paint"
Sally, here's what it looks like http://www.scrapbookmegastore.com.au/prod436.htm
