This chrysalis was already opened but I'm still curious as to what may have been "born" from it. The little white piece you see protuding from it is the flap that was opened when the butterfly emerged.
CLOSED: Can you identify this chrysalis?
I'm going to bump this back up just in case someone can identify it.
It looks like something in the family Nymphalidae (brush-footed butterflies), but other than that...
