Are you planning a line down the middle of the garden, Allison? Hee hee.
Happy Birthday onewish1 !!!!!
Funny thought, Victor!
no..... even though some of his picks were not my favorites in the past (like the burning bushes)... they get worked in somehow
well my fun shopping weekend took a bad turn.... I had my dog Jily at the vet yesterday.... after all the blood work they are not sure what is wrong... and I am bringing her back today... she has a fever and was dehydrated... so some sort of infection... her kidneys are good and it wasn't lymes... this is the second time she was in since winter with the same thing.. whatever it is... she won't eat or move till we gave her antibiotics and the shot under her skin for the dehydration
needless to say we did not go out to eat last night.... I didn't want to leave her alone
Oh - so sorry to hear that, Allison. Good luck, Allison.
thank you Victor..... I feel so bad that they can't figure out what's wrong... she is such a sweetheart
yes he did... she does need a cleaning..(bad yorkie teeth)... but it's not that.... she normally bangs on her bowl if I am 5 mins late with her food... and did not get up when I told her grandma was coming (to pick up her dog I was watching)... normally she attacks me with kisses because she get so excited to see her...
greenies has a new pill pocket for meds.... they are wonderful... like a squishy meat flavored treat... put the pill in the middle and smash it closed... it actually stuck to it... like a fruit roll up feel.... nice part is they can accommodate a large range of pill sizes
Allison - so sorry about Jily! It sounds like the symptoms our Molly had last year. Like Debbie's (RCN) dog, we are thinking Molly's problem may have been tick related, even though they did the complete tick battery and all tests were negative. She is a chow hound, but she wouldn't eat or drink and she had neurological symptoms in her legs. Prednisone turned her around. The pill pocket are great. If you don't have time to get them, I have found that if I boil up some penne or ziti or rigatoni, I can let them cool and then put the pill down in the pasta tube with the help of a nut pick (that comes with nutcrackers) and she will take it. You can flavor the pasta with a tiny bit of peanut butter if plain doesn't work. Please let us know how she is doing.
funny my guys love peanut butter... my honeys mom's dog turned his head when I tried to give him his wrapped in it... and grumbling to myself... now i have to clean this rackin sackin thing off and try something else... in a pinch any kind of sandwich meat works... and at times i have used my real stinky grated cheese... my guys love that too
So sorry about Jily, Allison. Once one of our now departed Lhasas was bitten by a tick and she couldn't move - not to eat, drink, or anything. The vet had her bathed and by 5 PM she was fine. I wish you the same good ending.
only because this is the second time this has happened.. it really has me worried they might be missing something
thank you and that's ok.... I think she is doing better... playing more and more... eating fine... still just keeping an eye on her
