Sorry for the beginner question but is there a reason why the lilies face away from the sun? Or face North?

Just a guess here, but is there a solid structure of some kind behind them? It looks to me as if they are seeking brighter light. Several of my lilies do this.

The house is about 20 ft away and the yard faces east. The bed gets sun until about 3.They should be facing the camera.Well, there is a tall salvia just behind them, I'll trim it to see if that changes.
