CLOSED: what is it going to be????????

Sylvania, OH

I found 2 larve while moving some bricks ( not under bricks but close by) about an inch or so underground. They are about 1 1/4-1 1/2 inch long, segmented, ceam color. One has a few lite brown streaks on each seg. the other does not. Age??? Never seen anything like it. Any help will be appreciated. Sorry - no photo.

Not enough information to be certain, but if the larvae were somewhat C-shaped, they might be 'white grubs,' root-feeding larvae of certain scarab beetles - see http://www.sacbee.com/static/weblogs/garden/archives/DSC02430.JPG for an image.

No, sorry. I know what grubs look like . These are not them. Now I'm not sure if they are larve or pupae (sp!). They don't do much. I have them in a jar. Will wait and see.
