I planted a Lilly that I got for my wife at Easter and the leaves turned yellow and I cut them off to the ground.

My question is will it come back or did I kill it?

Easter lilies are forced to bloom early and will die back earlier than normal because it's 'clock' is off. It should come back and probably bloom about this time next year.

Golden Eagle

I have gobs of easter lilies. My patients get them from their families and they just sit on the bedside tables and die. If I'm quick enough to beat the Nurses Aides to them and they don't get thrown out, I take them home and plant them. I usually end up with them multiplying all over the place and blooming. I'm waiting for some to go off anyday now. Just remember to plant the white one (Madonna lillies) no more than 1 inch down.
