I think this colony is another of the Pixie clan...Buff Pixie.

Great looking colonies! Lollipop really does divide fast. Do you find you have to divide them every few years or do you just let them spead on their own. I'm worried that mine might divide themselves to death if I keep spreading them out evry few years.

They've been given free rein to expand on their own initiative. I'm thinking they've been there at least 7 or 8 years. It sure is a vigorous plant.

jmorth, how many bulbs did you start with on the lollipop? I so want my lilies to look like that. 7-8 years? sigh....

Your red, near white & blue pic is fantastic. I have been putting pieces here
and there and hoping one day for everything to come together. I guess it just
takes time. You have some really nice plantings.

Divernon, IL(Zone 5b)

Reflecting back, I probably purchased those Lollipops from John Scheepers; orders there for Asiatics come in increments of 5, more than likely it started with 5.
Thanks for complement fleur...

Your stands of lilies are really wonderful. :) keep the pictures coming, please. ;)

The Lorraine Sunshine has been on my wish list. Someone on another forum
was displeased with it, I don't remember why. Is it invasive? From the looks
of yours I'm still liking it. Your pics show the meaning of planting in 3's, 5's &
7's.

Greenwood, IN(Zone 5b)

Very nice colonies you have there, jmorth - very impressive! They do multiply well given the right conditions, don't they??

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

Wow, Jmorth, those are really impressive!! :) Keep the pictures coming folks!!

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Love the colonies. The only thing better than one beautiful lily is a mass of beautiful lilies.

Divernon, IL(Zone 5b)

fleur_guy,
I think Lorraine Sunshine is a very cool plant because it provides such a contrast with different plants and within itself.
It's the first summer daisy to bloom in my garden. It does self seed but the foliage is so distinctive, offspring therefrom are easy to spot and pull.

Yes, the Lollipop is prolific. I started with one bulb 8 years ago, this one of a few clusters I have now.

Lol;ipop is such a sweet lily. :) Always so bright and cheerful. It's one of the main reasons I started looking at lilies as something other than filler plants.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Funny you should say that ~ I look at other plants as filler for my lilies.
