CLOSED: What's eating my tomato leaves?

Dacula, GA(Zone 7b)

Found this critter yesterday while spraying neem on my tomato plants. I'm used to finding horn worms, but not this small black one. Its about 1/2 inch long. Sorry the pic is so dark. User error using the flash.

Thanks fly_girl. That looks very possible. I need to see another one to make sure. They aren't out during the day, so I'll go out and look again this evening. I did find 4 hornworms today. Ugh!

Yep, they really look like army worms and there were a lot of them this evening. I squished all I saw and tomorrow I'm going to get some BT.

Those army worms can eat a lot!

I'm kind of partial to the hornworms....call me crazy but I grow tomatoes just for them....they become the prettiest moth. But with the Salmonella tomato scare, they may have to share ;)
